Life Story. A Happy Part.
by French Williams
We all have terrible memories from our past and some are unlucky enough to have trauma too.
I am attempting to paint my life story with acrylics on acrylic paper. It's been an emotional journey.
This is a painting of me sitting in my Dad’s red football bag. I watched him play football on the side-lines, when I was 3 years old. I can remember the smell of deep heat, smelly socks and freshly cut grass. Along with a lot of shouting for my Dad's team mate, ‘Malky’. He must have been a good goal scorer.
It is a great memory. I am glad I have it because there are so many memories I could have shared that are nasty and bad.
I wanted to take you somewhere nice, just for a while.
