This is part 1 of maybe 10 or 12 textile works currently in progress.  A single image cannot tell the whole story.

Sometimes there is no warning, patient information, or a yellow card reporting system. Sometimes the side effects are invisible and so subtle that in the moment you don't know what has happened...

Without an explanation the only option is art.

My art is inspired by the fabrics from my heritage: beautiful and colourful East African Kangas and Batiks.

I am fascinated by the concept of textiles being used as a means of visual communication.
