Are you better now?

One day I was asked this:
“Are you better now?”, by an eminent Professor/a health professional.
They must have been distracted by the free teas and cakes at the venue where they were speaking. Easily done.
I am much better now than I was then, but I certainly was not better then, and that question still revolves around my mind.
