Wish You Were Still Here

With this artwork I'd like to pay tribute to my mother who I sadly lost in January 2023. She suffered from multiple health issues, including poor mental health.

She used art and crafting to express her feelings, her dreams.       

The painting called sail away was done by her a few months before her passing and was shown at her send off. Dutch singer Piet Veerman very aptly sung 'Sailing home'. My mum and I were very similar and with this artwork I'd like to showcase our strong and close bond we had. She would be thrilled if she could see her art in a Scottish gallery.
