I made this sculpture over the course of one night from objects I had to hand at home.
I was in denial of my personal breakdown/crisis when I made this piece (marriage failure, losing my business, personal bankruptcy, 3 children to feed). Resilient and driven to carry on the act of making this sculpture came from an insight, one moment of clarity or intuitive recognition of my current situation. Compelled by fear and a need to move on I visualise my self-worth in this collection of objects. Thankfully, I am now in a much healthier place.
