About:

The purpose of the materials grants is to enable people to take part in the exhibition by contributing to the cost of materials used in the making of their artwork.

  • Individuals can apply for up to £80

  • Groups can apply for up to £240 (A group is 3 or more.)

  • Closing date 12pm (midday) on Monday 20 May 2024 NOW CLOSED

  • You will hear the outcome by 10 June 2024

  • Send your form by email with ‘Materials Grant’ in the subject line to exhibition@capsadvocacy.org Or, by post: Freepost CAPS

  • You don’t have to apply for a grant to take part.

Additional Grant Information:

  • Each person using the grant must have their own personal lived experience of a mental health issue. See guidance below if you are unsure.

  • You cannot take part both as an individual and also as part of a group.

  • Grants are for materials used in the making of artworks to be shown at Out of Sight Out of Mind. For example: art materials, printing, framing if desired, and any other materials you will use etc. If you are unsure, ask in advance, or you can submit your application and we will let you know.

  • You cannot apply for materials for artworks which have already been made.

  • You cannot apply for exhibitor’s fees, travel, studio space, subsistence etc.

  • We encourage all who would benefit from the grant to apply. Please be aware that grants and exhibition space are limited, and if over-subscribed we may have to adjust grant amounts or limit submissions.
