OOSOOM visit Lothian Health Services Archive (LHSA)

The 2022 Planning Group visited the Lothian Health Services Archives this September. They were following in the footsteps of the 2013 Planning Group, who were inspired by the 19 century artefacts from in-patients of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. We saw some of the same materials: a selection of the 1000 unsent patients’ letters, case notes and patients’ artworks. It was these that inspired many of the artworks in the very first OOSOOM.

We will be bringing a couple of these artefacts and an excerpt of a 2013 artwork ‘Patients’ Letters’ to OOSOOM 2022.
