Join the 2022 exhibition Launch!

You are invited to Out of Sight Out of Mind 2022 in-person launch on Tuesday 11 October, 6-8.30pm at Summerhall.

 

This will be the first opportunity to see the artworks of OOSOOM 2022. It will also be a celebration of the exhibitions incredible milestone of reaching 10 years and its first in-person launch in a couple of years!

Launch Schedule: 

6pm doors open
6.30 - 7.30pm speeches & short film screening in the Café Bar 8.30pm close

Please note: Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available in the Café Bar. There will be a photographer at the launch event. 

 

Evening Launch Accessibility: 

Getting to Summerhall & access: Disabled access is via the courtyard and there is lift access to all floors. For more information about getting to Summerhall and disabled access visit: https://www.outofsightoutofmind.scot/visit-summerhall  


The film: The film at the launch event will be shown after speeches, will last around 20 minutes and will be shown with subtitles. 
 

Busy: The launch event can be busy. If you need to take some time out, we suggest that you visit the Summerhall courtyard. This is not a private area, but it is outside and may give you a break from the launch busyness.  

Additional needs: If there is anything we can do to make the launch event accessible to you or your guests then we will do our very best to make them possible. Please get in touch with Steph with any questions and with requests before 4 October.

The 10th Out of Sight Out of Mind Exhibition
Exhibition open: 12 – 30 October, Wed to Sun, 12-6pm

Artworks made by 200 people with lived experience of mental health issues will be shown over three floors of Summerhall Galleries and OOSOOM will celebrate its 10th anniversary. In addition, a specially commissioned film and ‘an exhibition within an exhibition’ of archive material will be on show, and share the journey of this unique project.

 

Out of Sight Out of Mind is organised by people with experience of mental health issues, facilitated by CAPS Independent Advocacy, funded by Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, part of the year-round Thrive Edinburgh Arts Programme and the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
